February 24- March 2nd is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (NEDAW)

28.8 million Americans will have an eating disorder in their lifetime.

Those with intellectual disability and other neurodivergences have an increased risk for eating-related disorders such as Anorexia, Bulimia, Avoidant Restrictive Feeding Disorder, PICA, and Orthorexia.

Symptoms of these disorders look different for each person, and understanding these differences is important in understanding and treating these difficulties.
